Making Connections 4U First Prevention & Support Coalition

Engages in community outreach related to issues affecting families today.

Upcoming Projects

Making Connections 4U, in partnership with the Santa Cruz County Attorney’s Office, is developing the Building Connections Family Advocacy & Transitional Support Center, an upcoming project that addresses urgent needs in family safety, child abuse response, and emergency housing for displaced families in Santa Cruz County. The project will renovate a county-owned facility in Nogales into a trauma-informed, multidisciplinary hub and safe temporary shelter, where families affected by abuse, displacement, or crisis can access coordinated wraparound services, including crisis advocacy, emergency housing, mental health counseling, forensic support, medical care, and case management in a culturally responsive environment. This collaboration combines legal expertise with community-based service delivery to create a vital resource in a border community where resources are limited and systems are fragmented. We look forward to the community’s continued support.
